ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Encapsulated Rolls / Pads

insulation for acoustic  insulation for thermal

ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Polythene Encapsulated Rolls and Pads have been developed to provide both thermal and acoustic insulation where fibre migration could be a problem. Developed to be used in suspended ceilings, usually in high tech or sensitive buildings, such as schools and hospitals. Available in Glassfibre or Rockfibre mineral wool and hermetically sealed in black polythene and available in various thicknesses. It can also be manufactured in a smaller ceiling pad to suit particular suspended ceiling sizes.

  • Provide both thermal and acoustic properties
  • Avoids any spread of insulation fibres
  • Can be used on suspended ceilings

ARC Glassfibre Rolls

A shot-free glassfibre is lightweight (10kg/m3), flexible, resilient and non-combustible to BS476: Part 4: 1970 (1984), Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame to BS476: Part 7: 1997 and Class '0' to the building regulations. Ideal for use in framed buildiungs / cladding systems and roofing applications.

Thermal conductivity 0.04 w/mk.

ARC Rockfibre Rolls

A Rockfibre wool roll conforming to BS EN 13162: 2001 'Specification for factory-made mineral wool products. Achieves a reaction to fire classification of A1 as defined in BS EN 13501 - 1. Density 23kg/m3 increased acoustic performance.

Thermal conductivity 0.044 w/mk.

ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Faced Rolls

A variety of facings are available on these rolls to act as vapour and fire barriers and also as a deterrent to fibre-migration. Facings are usually placed on the warm side of the building and fixed to studwork or rafters.

Developed for use in thermal and acoustic applications where good tear strength and flanges for fixing purposes are required.

ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Faced Rolls are also available for use in lightweight cladding applications to satisfy the thermal, acoustic and fire requirements in roofs and walls. Manufactured to suit the needs of various applications for framed buildings of a commerical or industrial nature, these products have a high tensile strength and are particularly suitable for vertical applications in industrical cladding systems.

A variety of widths and thicknesses are available.

  • Generally used between stud work, rafters and ceiling joist applications
  • Available faced or faced and flanged
  • Faced finishes are available in foil, paper, polythene or tissue (black or white)

ARC Rockfibre Lamella Thermal and Acoustic Plasterboards

insulation for fire   insulation for acoustic  insulation for thermal

Designed to offer both thermal and acoustic insulation for internal walls, helping to improve upon statutory requirements. ARC Rockfibre Lamella Plasterboards are suitable for both refurbishment and new build projects in the domestic and commerical markets where increased thermal and acoustic performance is required. Rigid rockfibre slabs are cut into strips and turned through 90 degrees so that the fibres lie at right angles to the plasterboard. This gives increased resistance to compression of a slab of the same density.

ARC's Lamella Plasterboards are manufactured using rockfibre mineral wool which conforms to BS EN 13162: 2001 Thermal Insulation products for buildings, factory made mineral wool products specificiation, and achieves a fire classification of Euroclass A1 as defined in BS EN 13501-1.

Also available with a standard rigid rockfibre mineral wool slab insulation.
Various sizes and thicknesses available on request.

ARC Lamella Plasterboard Laminate:

Plasterboard length 2400 x 1200mm wide x 12.5mm thick.
Plasterboard conductivity 0.25W/mk

ARC Thermal and Acoustic Lamella Floor Boards

insulation for fire   insulation for acoustic  insulation for thermal

Designed to provide both thermal and acoustic insulation for both ground and intermediate floors, in either new build or refurbishment work. ARC Thermal and Acoustic Lamella Floor Boards consist of high density Rockfibre mineral wool lamella strips bonded on to tongue and grooved moisture-resistant chipboard.

  • Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
  • CFC and HCFC free
  • Suitable for all constructions
  • Will accomodate pipe runs and minor imperfections in sub floor
  • Easy to lay
  • Suitable for new build and refurbishment work
  • The ARC Lamella Floor Board works on the 'floating floor' principle to isolate and absorb impact and airbourne sound. Rigid Rockfibre slabs are cut into strips and turned through 90 degrees so that the fibres lie at right angles to the chipboard. This gives increased resistance to compression of a slab of the same density, whilst remaining resilient to take up imperfections in the sub floor.

Available with either 18 or 22mm chipboard bonded to insulation with a thickness ranging from 15 to 100mm.

    ARC Lamella Boards:

    Chipboard length 2400mm x 600mm wide x 18mm thick

    Chipboard conductivity 0.14 W/mk

Insulation: Lamella Rockwool Conductivity 0.044 W/mk, lamella rockfibre insulation supplied to the required thickness standard thickness 25 - 100mm)
