Packaging Update FAQs

Packaging Update FAQs

I use the colour to identify product on site or in stock, how should I identify the correct product in future?

We understand that in the past, ARC Cavity Stop Socks (CSS) and TCBs have been provided in various colours. However, relying solely on the packaging colour for product identification is not recommended, it’s important to thoroughly visually check that the correct product is installed, rather than a cursory glance at the colour of the packaging. For instance, both our CSS125 and CSS150 products come in light blue wrapping – it would be easy to assume the correct cavity barrier has been installed when relying on packaging colour alone.

To make identification easier, our new production line now prints the product code, cavity size, dimensions, and batch code directly onto each length of barrier—making ARC the first to offer this feature! Additionally, all outer packaging will continue to be clearly labelled with the same details. Please rely on these markings to identify the product you’re working with, rather than colour.

While colours will still be used to differentiate between product types for quick recognition on site (e.g., Spandrel Barrier = Orange, T-Barrier = Green), colour is not an indicator of the product being the correct size for the cavity.

We hope this new system improves your experience, ensuring you have the right product, every time.

I have product in stock that is the old colour, what should I do with it?

No changes are being made to the performance characteristics of the product, therefore any existing stock you hold remains fit for sale and for use on site. This improvement to the packaging has no bearing on the performance of the product.

Why are you changing the colour?

As part of our commitment to innovation and a strive to enhance the identification and traceability of your cavity barriers. Product details, including size and batch code, being printed on each individual barrier is a first in our industry. We’re proud to be at the forefront of product traceability.
