1. If required tape can be used to secure the cavity barriers into place.

2. The T-Barrier can be installed any way up.

3. The Soffit Slab must be mechanically fixed into place.

4. It’s fine to install a masonry cavity barrier in a timber construction.

5. Cavity barriers are generally a little larger than the cavity they’re being installed into.

6. When installing cavity barriers, if required, they can be bent to suit the installation.

7. It does not pose an issue if the cavity has obstructions such as decorative brickwork or mortar snots.

8. The Eaves Insulator satisfies Part L regulations pertaining to sufficient insulation at thermal junctions.

9. The polythene must be removed prior to installation.

17. The Eaves Insulator should come up and over the wall plate at the eaves detail.

18. Brickwork must be fully completed before cavity barriers are slid into place.

19. When installing multiple cavity barriers, it’s important that the ends are tightly butted together.

20. It is not an issue if the cavity barrier is smaller than the cavity.
