Championing Safety, People and the Planet

As a forward thinking organisation, we understand that what we do matters and we will always look to consistently champion safety, people and our planet. We think it’s important to be part of the solution to a safer and more sustainable future. We have put initiatives and systems in place to ensure sustainable best practices are met where feasible, our people are supported and encouraged to grow within ARC and that we are transparent in all we do.

Our Approach

We are committed to integrating ESG considerations into our business strategy and all of our operations; in doing this, we believe this will bolster our commitment to creating real, long-term value to all of our stakeholders. By instilling a culture of sustainability at all levels of ARC and, where possible, with our suppliers we are aiming to minimise our impact on the planet and are proud to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Through a thorough consultation and collaboration with external parties, we have put together a total of nine objectives across the three pillars of ESG.

Environmental

We are committed to minimising our environmental impact and promoting sustainability in all aspects of our operation. We are proud to prioritise the use of renewable energy, sustainably sourced materials and products. Going that extra step, we collaborate closely with our suppliers to encourage responsible practices all throughout our supply chain.

Looking forward, we will set ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving natural resources, and minimising waste. This will be maintained through dedicated and regular reviews and reporting.

    In order to achieve our environmental objectives, we have focused on a select number of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to act as a framework for reducing our environmental impact.

    Through aligning our practices with these goals, we will play our part in mitigating harmful effects on the environment by:

    • Reducing our reliance on fossil fuels
    • Minimising waste created though our day-to-day operations
    • Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions
    • Championing circular economy principles

    Social

    We remain steadfastly dedicated to responsible business practices that prioritise the well-being of our people and communities.

    We are committed to creating positive social impact and recognise that a thriving and sustainable business cannot exist in isolation from the communities it operates in. By actively engaging with social issues, we aim to contribute positively to our communities. In nurturing an environment where our team is actively engaged, we aim to create an organisation that values diversity, human rights and prioritises safety. In working collaboratively with all stakeholders we aim to better understand and address needs and concerns across the whole business.

      We have selected three pertinent SDGs to support us in creating a framework which champions societal issues. In ensuring our business considers these at all times, we will impact our local and wider community by:

      • Nurturing an environment where our team are respected, valued and treated fairly

      • Support our communities through considered charitable initiatives

      Governance

      We are committed to transparent and accountable business practices and aim to exceed the highest standards of governance and certification. We routinely review and update our policies and procedures to ensure that they align with our goals, values, and principles. In working collaboratively with our stakeholders we look to ensure that our decision-making is well-informed and responsive to their needs and concerns whilst mitigating any threats and ensuring opportunities are met with a considered approach.

        • Effectively manage all risks and opportunities

        In order to ensure best practices are met and maintained, we have created policies and frameworks which take into consideration two SDGs. We ensure all business operations consider these goals and we look to make a meaningful impact via:

        • Continually assessing our policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant and compliant
        • Working collaboratively with our suppliers to develop and maintain a sustainable and responsible supply chain
        • Foster an environment of continuous improvement pertaining to our business practices to mitigate risk and act on opportunities

        2025/26 Roadmap

        Through a thorough consultation and collaboration with external parties, we have put together a total of nine objectives across the three pillars of ESG.

        Environmental

        We will continue to monitor waste levels and seek out new and innovative materials and operational practices to further minimise waste, whilst maintaining the critical lifesaving function of our products

        Where reduction is not feasible, we will continue to embrace circular economy principles through incorporating materials into our manufacturing practices which are recyclable to minimise the use of harmful products and single use plastics within our business functions.

        To further reduce carbon emissions attributed to business operations and manufactured products, we will prioritise the research and development of sustainable products in support of building energy efficient buildings using materials which are reusable and recyclable.

        Social

        We are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued and is treated with fairness.

        By championing equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our business, we’re striving to build a culture of support and belonging in the workplace.

        In implementing and encouraging the participation of volunteering and charitable initiatives, we empower our colleagues to make a real difference – tackling injustices, uplifting communities, and creating safer, more sustainable spaces for all.

        Governance

        Through collaborative working practices with all suppliers we will bolster sustainable activities within our supply chain. Having recently implemented a comprehensive Supplier Due Diligence Process we have gained further understanding into our supply chain operations. We will use this knowledge to highlight opportunities for mutual benefit and support our suppliers and customers in their own sustainable endeavours.
