The innovative TCB Square has taken home the top prize at the Housebuilder Product Awards in the Best Site Product Category. This marks our first award win of 2024, and the second award for the TCB Square since it was launched last year.
Following close consultation with end-users, installers, and contractors, specific concerns were raised for the specification of cavity barriers around opening in timber frame walls. These penetrations are essential for pipework and boiler flues, and are commonplace in the construction of new build homes – an issue the Square directly solves.
The TCB Square saw off some tough competition with the judges recognising how the cavity barrier not only helps to save lives in the event of a fire, but it also makes housebuilders lives that much easier with it’s quick, easy fitting and installation instructions included on the product via a QR code; this has proven to be a game-changing addition, giving installers a more accessible and effective method of working to deliver safer outcomes.
Alongside the winners from other categories, the TCB Square has now been entered into the Product Of The Year Award as a finalist, winners to be announced later this year. Running for over a decade, the Housebuilder Product Awards are well respected within the industry so it’s a great achievement for the TCB Square to be recognised.
