Description:

The ARC Rockfibre Insulated DPCis a fire rated, fully tested IFC certificated cavity closer purposely designed to close the cavity around doors and windows of masonry construction, tackling cold bridging and a fire stop with four hours fire integrity. The ARC Rockfibre Insulated DPC has been rigorously tested to exceed the performance requirements laid out in UK and Irish Building Regulations, helping to ensure safer homes. This product can be installed both vertically and horizontally.

Integral DPC

Application:

ARC Rockfibre Insulated DPC is a fire rated cavity closer designed to close the cavity around window and door reveals in conjunction with a return block, fitting between the return block and inner edge of the outer skin of brickwork. The rockfibre insulation will help prevent cold bridging and eliminate moisture, mould and staining from around windows and doors, while the DPC is embossed to assist mortar adhesion. It must be installed with a minimum of 5mm compression to achieve 2 hrs fire integrity, or a minimum of 15mm compression to achieve 4 hrs fire integrity. The person installing the Rockfibre Insulated DPC should first familiarise themselves with the datasheet, ensuring the correct product is being fitted into the cavity.

All performance claims made are evidenced in the IFC certification IFCC 1730.

Installation instructions

ARC Insulated DPC is easily installed as the brickwork progresses and before the window or door is fitted. The DPC should sit against the inner side of the outer brickwork to prevent moisture penetration. When joining it is recommended to lap the DPC by at least 100mm and to ensure the insulation is tightly butted with no breaks.

ARC Insulated Rockfibre DPCis fire rated and certified for use in a traditional masonry construction.

What is the maximum width the ARC Rockfibre DPC can be manufactured to?

ARC Rockfibre Insulated DPC is designed to fire stop the gap between a return block and external brickwork, and can be manufactured to suit any width up to 50mm. For larger width see ARC Eco-Closer.
