Developed by the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), the IFE Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection has been established to reflect best professional practice and covers key knowledge and understanding required by those working in the passive fire protection industry. Regulated by Ofqual, the training course was the first in the UK and Ireland to enable candidates to study to obtain a recognised qualification in passive fire protection.

George Danzey-Smith, Business and Technical Manager for ARC Building Solutions has successfully completed this unique qualification, which incorporated around 350 hours of study time and a pass and is one of only 17 people in the world to hold this qualification currently.

George said ‘I am delighted to have gained this qualification, which recognises competency, and academic recognition in this key fire protection specialism. I am looking forward to developing my knowledge and experience further to the mutual benefit of ARC and our customers.’
