Award-Winning ARC Celebrates Again in 2018

12th December 2018

On Friday 7th December, ARC were celebrating again by winning another award. Held in the historic surroundings of Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London, ARC received the Fire Protection Innovation of the Year award at the 2018 Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Awards. Presented by the brilliant Steph McGovern from BBC Breakfast, it was the second award of the year for ARCs unique Fire Stopping System at the Party Wall and Eaves.

The ASFP aims to develop the passive fire protection market by evidencing that ‘built-in’ fire protection is vital to control the spread of fire and smoke. The ASFP Passive Fire Protection Industry Awards aim to highlight excellence in passive fire protection and to reward those who contribute to the advancement of awareness, quality and education within the sector. The Passive Fire Innovation of the Year Award was awarded to an ASFP member company who has an exceptional example of an innovative passive fire protection product or service.

Andrew Danzey said ‘I am delighted to have received this award from the ASFP for ARC’s unique Fire Stopping System at the Party Wall and Eaves. This system was developed from the need for house builders to comply with building regulations for stopping the spread of fire and heat and improving the thermal performance or party wall cavities. Having been successfully trialled, it is now specified by a number of U.K. house builders and we are talking to more housebuilders who hope to include it in their future build programmes too. It’s a great acknowledgement of the combined effort of everyone working at ARC Building Solutions and a fantastic end to our 10th Year Anniversary.’
