We are excited to announce ARC has been shortlisted in the London Construction Award’s Fire Safety Solution of the Year category for our Open State Cavity Barrier (OSCB) solution.
The prestigious awards, which have received record numbers of entries this year, celebrate achievements, developments, and innovation across the construction industry.
It is the second nomination this year for our innovative product, which has been specifically designed to stop the spread of fire in ventilated cavities. Last month we were also shortlisted in the Innovation category of the 2022 Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber Awards.
Congratulations to all those shortlisted and we look forward to seeing you at the awards. The finalists will be revealed at a prestigious awards ceremony in London on Friday 23rd September.
OSCB has been developed in response to customer demand and features ARC’s innovative new labelling system to make it easier to access clear installation instructions. Manufactured from non-combustible rock mineral wool, it has a reactive intumescent layer along the air gap edge which rapidly expands when exposed to heat in a fire event, closing off the air gap.
