ARC U-Barrier has been fire tested in accordance with the principles given in EN1366-4, achieving 240 minutes fire integrity and 180 minutes insulation within a masonry construction.
ARC U-Barrier is compressed between the top of the spandrel panel and underside of the roof covering, creating a fire and thermal break.
NHBC 7.2.16 recommends a 25mm gap between the separating wall and the top of adjacent roof trusses, which should be filled with mineral wool. ARC U-Barrier satisfies this recommendation.
The person installing the U-Barrier should first familiarise themselves with the datasheet, ensuring the correct product is being fitted into the cavity.
